Catch Your Fido on Video
We made this little 30 second video while we were in Playa del Carmen celebrating our birthdays and anniversary recently. We used an Ultra Flip Video camera and as you can see, the quality of the video and the sound is pretty darn good for such an inexpensive camera.
Why is this important to you?
Think how helpful it would be to SHOW your trainer, behaviorist, or veterinarian WHAT your dog is doing rather than trying to describe a behavior.
If you are taking a training class and are having difficulty getting your dog to do what you want, make a video of your practice session so you can SHOW your trainer what’s happening. It’s common for dogs to behave differently in class than at home or in other surroundings.
What if your dog is limping or showing other behaviors that concern you while your dog is at home, but doesn’t do the same thing once you get him to the veterinarian? Now you can SHOW your veterinarian what your dog is doing.
These cameras are so inexpensive – about $80 – that it just makes sense to have one. Various models are available that will record either 30 or 60 minutes. There’s also a high def version that we are lusting for.
And it’s easy to share the videos with others. Just plug the camera into the USB port of your computer and the software will load automatically. With just a few clicks the program will easily allow you to post your video to popular websites or to email a link to the video to friends, family, or your pet’s trainer or veterinarian.
